National honors, positions awarded Alpha Chi members Ten members of the Arkansas Eta Chapter of Alpha Chi attended the biennial national meeting of the 140 chapters of Alpha Chi in Atlanta, Ga. , on April 3·5, 1975. Scholarly papers were presented by Ted Fish, David Hatfield, Rohn Kennington, Curtis Linge, and Brandt McCorkle. Richard Paine gave a dramatic reading and Janet Gallman was the recipient of a $300 Alfred H. Nolle Scholarship for 1975·76. Linge was elected as one ofthe six student members to a two-year term on the National Council, and Dr . Joseph E. Pryor was re-elected to a four·year tenn as Secretary-Treasurer of the National Council. Inducting 56 members on Oct. 22 and 38 members on Feb . 18, the chapter had the largest membership in its history. On Feb . 11 , the chapter hosted an open session on graduate study by a panel of faculty members who had recently pursued graduate study. Sponsors of the chapter - Dr. Pryor, Dr. England, and Dr. Neale Pryor - hosted infonnal meetings of the chapter in their homes. 1.
