Running teams win in track and field, cross country meet Hosting the Wildcat Relays for the ninth year, the Academy rounded out the sports year on an upbeat. The track team competed in running and field events at county, district, and state levels. Depth in field events and distance races provided the points necessary to capture important titles. In their second year of existence, the Wildcat thinclads placed second in the 1974 Class B Cross Country Championship. Competing at Searcy Country Club, the team maintained their Sll periar record in state-level competition. 1.
