Tahkodah retreat gives opportunity for sharing God While sharing a weekend together at camp, Academy students experienced a time of learning to love one another and to appreciate the world that God created for them. Time was devoted to listening to speakers who helped to broaden their views, while quiet moments on campus with God expanded their understanding and dedication. Indulging in activities according to various interests, students spelJ..t their spare time sharing many special moments together. Many participated in group or individual sports, or joined one or more of the various clubs and organizations. Hours were spent in study with friends in homes, in the dorm, or on campus. Together they enjoyed many school activities from promoting school spirit to furthering unity. Club members joined forces endeavoring to better their school and community, but, more important, to cultivate their relationships with one another. As the year progressed , they cherished their friendships and loves and grew closer to God. 1. DISPLAYING Wildcat support, students purchase ribbons from the Pep Club. 2. GRIMACING from the heat of the fire, Donna Coker attempts to roast her hot dog to perfection while Richard Roberts observes. 3. INSTRUCTING Karla Burkett in the art of tennis, Tommy Bonds demonstrates his techniques. 4. BREAKING from their busy schedule. Barbara Bingham, Ramona Scroggins, and Cindy Allen take advantage of the beautiful out-af-doors. 5. WORKING patiently. Robbie Shackelford continues stuffing napkins into the frame of the homecoming float. 6. ENJOYING the company of each other, Steve Pylkas and Bonnie Bryant bicycle through campus. 7.
