Fresh herd blood brings new hopes to injured team Injuries to key performers forced the Harding Bisons to settle for a 5-4-1 record and a tie for third place in the bruising Ale. Five starters, including Jack Barber and Jeff Smith, were among the injured; but great depth saved the team from a disastrous season. Coach Prock and his assistants had a great deal of talent to use in filling vacant spots. Freshmen and sophomores took over vital positions which were held by upperclassmen. With an unwavering will and a goal of good sportsmanship, the Bison team showed Itself as a powerful contender'in the AIC competition. 1.
