Strong friendships rise from pledge week associations Clogs, roaches and gophers came alive the seventh week of school as a traditional ritual. Harding's pledge week brought new club members to a higher definition of friendship. People who were strangers became life long friends in the course of a single week. As the school year progressed stronger friendships developed through club devotionals, outings and sports activities. Many clubs enjoyed the sharing of activities with their brother or sister club. The new pledges no longer were just lowly creatures, ruled over by pledge masters. but all were the closest of friends. 218 / CLUB A CTI V ITIES
