Science faculty recommends degree • nursmg program Plans were recommended to the faculty for beginning a B.S. degree program in Nursing in the fall of 1974. Floor plans were made for complete renovation of the old Science Building during the summer of 1974. Additional courses in organic chemistry and biochemistry were added to the curriculum. Gene Dugger assisted other departments in utilizing computer facilities available on campus and Dr. Jack Sears served on the state's Basic Science Examining Board. Ron Doran returned after three years of doctoral study at Penn State. Drs. Steve Smith and George Woodruff attended NSF shortcourses at L.S.U. NATURAL SCIENCE / 81
