Foreign language department adds course in Spanish As an outgrowth of participating in the Arkansas Humanities Consortium in 1972-73. the division under the leadership of Dr. Evan Ulrey offered an experimental integrated course in the humanities. Also, a minor in Spanish was added to the program and Mrs. Ava Conley was added to the faculty to teach Spanish. Rod Brewer was added to the English faculty. Robert Eubanks returned from a two-year leave for doctoral study in Mass Media. and John Ryan received the PhD. Dr. Gary Elliott was appointed chairman of the English Department.
