Harding considers Bible major for women students Ed Sanders, L. V. Pfeifer, and Van Tate were added to the department last fall. Tate, from Nairobi , Kenya , served as the visiting professor of Bible and missions. Jerry Jones completed the ThD degree in preaching and Don Shackelford worked on his dissertation. During the past summer, Dr. Joe Hacker and Shackelford led 81 students on 12 campaigns in five countries of western Europe and John Pennisi took 12 students to Brazil for three weeks. During the Christmas recess , Sanders led 14 students on a three·week campaign in Jamaica. Plans were developed for 20 campaigns in Europe this summer. A Bible major for women was developed and the curriculum for the Christian Communications Program was completed. 1. BIBLE students check miSSions map to determine week·end preaching assignments. 2. PROMOTING his five--point plan for raising funds, Or. Hacker opens a new campaign year. 3. WORSHIP on the lawn strikes a different note to Wednesday worship services. 4.
