Mrs. Lynn, Sponsor Club offers service to retarded children With the idea of stressing character development , Kappa Alpha Theta chose the motto "Character is what you stand for ; Reputation is what you fall for" when the club was begun in 1942. Following the rigors of pledge week, the Kat 's welcomed eight new members with a bunking party. A French toast breakfast the following morning by club beaux Mike Pullara and Steve Pylkas. The club collected funds for the county's retarded children as a service project. Celebrating the yuletide season, they caroled and had a hot chocolate fellowship. Stressing 100 percent participation, the girls competed well in both volleyball and basketball. A formal banquet highlighted the spring activities.
