Cross country team wins third straight AlC championship Harding's cross country team climaxed another winning season by breaking into the NAIA's top 20 list at the national harrier competition. Coach Ted Loyd ' s Bisons had previously copped their third straight AIC championship, the school's ninth league trophy in 11 years, behind the steady running of freshmen Mark Galeazzi and Larry Butler, juniors Matt Comotto and Robert Mead and sophomores Rock Meservey and Tony Woodruff. The young squad earned the right to compete in the national meet by winning the NAlA District 17 title. After posting an impressive 51-3 record in regular season meets , the Bisons outraced state opponents to continue their string of Arkansas AAU championships. In the national AAU meet, won by the olympian Frank Shorter, first-year man Galeazzi finished 78th in the running. 262 / CROSS COUNTRY
