1973 Bison keglers drop to third place in Ale competitions After winning three straight national championships and eight AIC titles, the Bison keglers dropped to third in AIC competition. The Bison finished with an overall pin total of 19,680. Six Harding bowlers finished among the top fifteen AIC bowlers. Harding was led by Dave Hudson, third in the AIC with 4,372 total pins. Gary Beck placed seventh with 4,314 pins. However, the bowlers did win the District 17 NAIA roll-off and went for the ninth consecutive year to the NAIA national meet in Kansas City where they were national runners-up with a total pin fall only 17 pins behind the champions. The 1974 team showed great promise in several invitationa1 tournaments prior to the AIC season. Gary Beck placed first in the Associated College Union-International regional tournament in Lafayette, La., and qualified to participate in the national A.C.U.-I. National Intercollegiate Tournament on April 6-8 in Indianapolis, Ind. 260 / BOWLING
