Black Club debut makes big impact in sports Recognizing a need for transfer students to be drawn into the activities of a senior college, Theta Tau organized a body of men in the spring of 1973. The 30 members enjoyed the benefits of friendship and fellowship of Christian brothers and athletic competition. Competition ran high in small club sports but Theta Tau withstood the pressures taking several first place positions. Sweeping top honors in softball, volleyball and basketball showed the strength of the club. Taking the needs of others into can· sideration members helped move the furniture of an elderly man and gave assistance and friendship to underprivileged children of Searcy.
