Each man and woman found new friends in the clubs, and these were strengthened by friendly rivalry. Care and concern for others found expression in club projects, blood drives and help for the aged. Laughter and gaiety were spread with Spring Sing and fun Halloween parties. Volleyball gave the girls a chance to show their mettle, and fierce competition finally saw them become better friends. Projecting their enthusiasm beyond the campus, clubs made the Homecoming parade a local treat. Friendship bonds were forged within the clubs as men and women played and prayed together, each seeking his God in service to others, and thus giving a unique flavor to the college social scene .
