English department establishes local Sigma Tau Delta For thc first time at Harding. interested English majors organized a local chapter of SiRI1l11 Tau Delta. The chapter provided for a deeper study of world literature. The Harding chapter of Pi Kappa /Je/ra recognized individual ability and achievement in public speaking. The members were encouraged to actively participate in debate and in informative competition. Outstanding history majors were inducted into the national society of Phi Alpha Theta. During regular meetings. the members investigated loday's national crisis. General business majors received invitations in the spring from the newly organized De/ta Mil Delta. a fraternity tor interested business majors. All accounting majors were urged to join Pi Gamma Psi. The members discussed accounting and related business fields in relation to future job positions. 188 / NAT'L HONOR GROUPS
