Freshmen enroll record 676, provide student leadership With 676 freshmen enrolling for the rail semester, Harding College experienced an increase in enrollment of 224 over the previous fall for a total enrollment of 2,319. Quality as well as size characterized this class which contributed starters in every intercollegiate sport and the female lead in "My Fair Lady. " The freshman float in the Homecoming Parade received first place in the class division. The class made a monthly contribution to the children 's home in Paragould and , during the spring semester, had a mixer in the Student Center. 1. FRESHMAN OFFICERS. Gary Bartholomew, sponsor; Chuck Watson, president; Brenda Garner, secretary-treasurer; Gary Sparks, vice president. 2. GETTING acquainted with classmates from varying parts of the world is an enjoyable experience for freshmen at the opening of the fall semester. 3. EXPLORING the microscopic biological world is an intriguing experience for Yvonne DePass and Lamar Culpepper. 4. DONATING their blood that others might live. Rick Work and Don Miller join 879 other Harding students and faculty members who volunteer in giving 718 pints of blood in the fall Red Cross blood draw on campus. 130 / FRESHMEN
