SIGMA TAU ALPHA RHO Three new beaux and club sponsor elected by STAR's Mrs. Glenave Curtis, the new home economics teacher, became the new sponsor for the STAR's as they began the 1971-72 school year. For the first time, the STAR's elected three club beaux instead of the traditional two. DeWitt Yingling, Dane Altman, and Kenny Harris were chosen. Eight pledges began to fulfill the requirements of rough initiation in the fall after attending an informal coke party in the home economics room of the Academy. Attempting to obey the unceasing demands of their pledgemistresses, the STAR pledges gathered acceptances of marriage proposals and wore signs describing how lowly they were. The formal initiation and tea was given at the home of Kim Kellar. Club Seaux DEWITI YINGLING, KENNY HARRIS, DANE ALTMAN 279
