STUDENT GOVERNMENT Student Council seeks solutions to school problems The Student Council consisted of the presidents of all clubs, classes, and organizations. The council met every other Friday to discuss the various problems of the school, such as noise in the halls and the disregard of rules. Under the direction of their sponsor, Wilt Martin, the members sought to find workable solutions to these prob· lems. SUB·DEB SPIRIT AWARD Sub -Debs bestow 1972 Spirit Award upon Jim White Because he exemplifies the true spirit of Harding Academy, Jim White has been selected by the Sub·Deb social club as the recipient of the 1972 Sub· Deb Spirit Award. Although Jim has only been at the Academy three years, he has shown a willingness to work in all aspects of school life. Whether he was man· aging the football team, dribbling down the court, or participating in dra· matic productions, Jim displayed a Christian attitude. As a member of Key Oub, Thespians, Beta Oub, A Cappella Chorus, the Kappa Alpha Theta social club beau, and president of French Club, Jim is an excellent ex· ample of being both a good leader and an active follower.
