BASKETBALL Cagers readjust with consistency in mid - season play Returning only two seniors, the 197 172 Harding College basketball team faced a conference schedule of teams that suffered little loss of graduating players from the previous year. In early season play the team was handed several narrow-margin defeats, averaging 77.1 points per game compared to the opposing team's 78.5 clip. Establishing a steady starting line-up at mid-season, Coach Jess Bucy and his Harding cagers bounced back with several conference victories, four of \Vhic~l were consecutive. A combination of late period free throws and high fie ld goa l percentages determined many of the crucial late-season contests for the Bison cage team.
