COACHING STAFF Athletic directors stress basic ideals with physical skills Returning aU ten veteran coaches from last year, Bison athletic teams enjoyed seasoned leadership in all areas of AIC competition. After a two year period of rebuilding, the cross-country team regained the conference crown. Once again the bowlers won a decisive AlC victory, as well as a prestigious first place in national competition for the second year in a row, an impressive record of back to back championships. The balance of emphasis in the program as a whole was demonstrated by the award of third place in AlC All-Sports competition. Bison coaches included: Don Berryhill, swimming; Jess Bucy, head basketball; Ed Burt, bowling; Dick Johnson, assistant football and baseball; Norman Merritt, golf; Cliff Sharp, assistant football; John Prock, head football; Bob Knight, tennis; Jerry Mote, assistant football; Ted Lloyd, track and crosscountry.
