STUDENT PUBLICATIONS Bison endeavors to inform readers in livelier format Working late hours and enJoymg every grueling moment, the Bison staff endeavored to more thoroughly inform the Harding community in a livelier, more readable format. Expanding in many ways was the staff's theme song. They expanded to include national and international news coverage and fea tured indepth reports on how the college was affected by national events. With the addition of two personal columns, Phil Johnson's "Talk Block" and John Bibee's "Newspaper Column," the staff published several twelve-page papers. It was the year of letters to the editor from the mysterious Ann O. Tate, of the edition with thirty nine photos, of laborious but lovely headlines, of Archie's caricature of Billy Ray Cox, and of the Bison, "official weekly newspaper published during the regu lar academic year except holidays and examination weeks, by Harding College, Searcy, Arkansas." 148 ACTIVELY folding, stapling, and labeling on i~sue of the Bison fresh off the press, Robert Argo helps the staff deliver all the copies required by their mailing list.
