Alpha Chi The Arkansas Eta chapter of Alpha Chi , which was insta ll ed in 1957, was one of 11 9 chapt ers in 37 states and Mexico, which had as thei r purpose to promote and recognize high scholarship and those elements of character that make scholarship errecti ve, Membership in the Arkansas Eta chapt er was limited to student s who had a gradepoint of at least 3.70 on 80 to 103 hours, or 3.50 on 104 or more hours. The Ar kansas Eta chapter inducted 16 new members in the fall a nd 31 in the spring, for a tota l of 63 members. Donna Wolfe, a member of the chapter, received the H. Y. Benedict Fellowship for graduate work. Dr. Joseph Pryor, who serves as Secretary- Trcassurer of the Nat iona l Counc il of A lpha Chi, traveled to Belmont in Nashvi lle, Tenn .; Park College in Cahoki, III. ; and Church Coll ege in Hawaii to install new chapters.
