BASKETBALL Four performers average over ten points per game Despite a poor season's record, the Bison basketba ll team had four competitors among the AIC's top thirty scorers. All of these players averaged 13 or more points per game for Harding. Junior Bill Ch ism, the squad's offensive leader, led all performers with an 18.3 scoring average. The fine outside shooter from Clarkton, Missouri achieved 13th place in the AIC scoring title and was honored by being chosen a NAlA District 17 honorable mention member. Ranked 24th in scoring in the AlC was Lester Busby with a 14.3 average. Freshman competitor Freddie Dixon, who started in onl y a rew games for the Bisons, compiled a 13.2 scoring average. A 36 point performance by Dixon against Arkansas A&M was the highest Bison scoring mark of the season. Co-captain Dana Zartman finished his basketba ll career at Harding with an average of 13.0 points per game.
