1970-1971 Yearbook

DEPARTMENTAL Science Club sponsors local science meetings Throughout the year, the Science Club sponsored local meetings on scientific topics and prepared scientific papers for competition. Representatives attended the annual state meeting of the Collegiate Academy of Science, of which they are a member. The flistory Guild fostered an interest in the fields of history, economics, and sociology in their regular meetings. Along with their holiday parties, members of the Art Guild took trips to art shows in Little Rock and Memphis. Among their guest speakers, the Studellt National Education Association hosted several former Harding students to review the Harding student teaching program. They also participated in a state survey on the eighteen year-old vote. Adding to the appearance of the gym, the PEMM Club furnished new pennants signifying Harding's league members. Tn the spring, representatives traveled to Chicago to observe the make- ~p of the area physical education programs.
