MUSIC GROUPS ACappella makes preparations for big overseas tour Looking forward to another overseas tour, both the A Cappella Chorus and Belles alld Beaux made plans [or a new year. On their fall tour during November they toured four states in the Southeast. In the spring. their tour took them to eight Eastern states including Michigan. where they participated in the Christian College Choral Festival at Michigan Christian College. A six-record album was made called "Harding's Hundred Hymns." The A Cappella's music this year included numbers from Bach and Brahms, and from contemporary American and folk songs. For the lectureships the Belles alld Bemlx presented new songs [rom their show, "Songs for All Seasons." Other appearances included performances at two conventions in Hot Springs, Freed-Hardeman College, a benefit show at Crowley's Ridge, and the Alpha Chi banquet at Memphis, Tennessee. 154
