STUDENT GOVERNMENT Men's Council hosts discussion on current • ISSUes Ex isting 10 promote a more constructive interchange of ideas between the dormitory residents and the administration, the M ell 's lIlId Women's Dorm Councils had a yea r of discuss ion, suggestion, and improvement. Aft er electing wing representati ves, under the supervision of the Student Association, dorm residents were able 10 go to thei r representatives to suggest projects for the improvement of dorm life. Although they have usually served as an organization to rece ive complaint s. the dorm council s took a pos iti ve approach to new acti viti es . The Mel/'S COlil/cil hosted spea ~ers and open di scuss ions dealing with such current soc ial problems as drugs and sex . An awning was constructed at the east end of the new dorm, whi ch has been a long-time project of the Womel/ 's COlil/cil. They al so undertook projects to help the needy. MEN'S DORM COUNCIl.
