1970-1971 Yearbook

Alpha Chi Fifty-four st udents were inducted into Alpha Chi this year making a total of 70 members, the largest number in the history of the Arkansas Eta chapter which was installed at Harding in 1957. Promotion and recognition of high scholarship and those elements of character that make scholarship effcct ive for good is the object of the society whose mcmbership is limited to st udents who have a gradepoint of at least 3.70 on 80 to 103 hours, or 3.50 on 104 or more hours. The chapter sponsored an open meeting in December to inform seniors and other interested students about various aspects of graduat e schoo l. In March, the group sent a large delegat ion to the 1971 National Meet ing in Memphi s, Tenn. Several members participated in the student program.
