1969-1970 Yearbook

SENIOR OFFICERS: Jerry Jones, sponsor; Don Berryhill, sponsor; Raymond Kelly, president; Glen Blue , secretary·treasurer; Jack Gardner, vice-president. SENIORS Selection of class officers and sponsors initiates seniors' year Beginning its year with the traditional electing of officers, the 1970 senior class, numbering 404, was down eighteen students from the previous year. In recognition of his many years of service as intramural sports director, the class selected Cecil Beck for the yearbook dedication. Rebounding from a dismal showing in the Homecoming float contest, seniors elected Mary Smith recipient of the Regina Spirit Award for best exemplifying the spirit of Harding. Mary, a physical education major from Newport, is a member of the Ju Go Ju social club. She was a Bison cheerleader for two years, the 1968 Homecoming queen, and was selected class favorite in her freshman and sophomore years. She is a member of the PEMM club and was selected for recognition in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges as a junior. MARY SMITH, recipient of the Regina Spirit Award. 80
