STAR Snoopy, Charlie Brown create high points of Star's banquet The STAR social club began the 1970 school year with the rough initiation of seven worried pledges. A tea and formal initiation were held at the home of Patti Helsten. Shortly after initiation of the pledges, the club members chose senior Darleen Jones to represent the club in the May Day festivities. The STAR's had as the theme for their winter banquet "Happiness Is." This theme was carried out with "Peanuts" characters for table and wall decorations. Attending the banquet were club sponsor, Mrs. Ann House, and the club beaux, senior Larry Davis and junior Dan Green. 281
