The team compieted the season with a 16-9 record. Ouachita Baptist University won its third straight AIC title with the sweep of a doubleheader from the Bison's on the season's final day. VVith five wins and seven losses in conference p lay Harding finished sixth. In the NAlA District 17 tournament the team lost a close one in extra innings to State College. Pitcher Bob McKeel was awarded high honors on the team by being named to the All-AIC, AllDistrict 17 and hOllorable mention All-American teams. Jerry Moore was picked as an honorable mention All-District 17 and All -AlC third baseman as he led the team in hitting with a .377 average. Roy Steele and Gary Isbell received honorable mention All-AlC honors. Steele, a junior shortstop, was named to the first team All-District 17 in NATA. SHOUTING encouragement to his teammates is third baseman Jerry Moore in an effort to keep them alert for quick plays. CATCHER Denny Dotson shifts the team into the strategic "Roger " defense made to throw strong right honded hitters off balance. 251
