Offi cial prac tice for the 1966 golf season began in February under the direction of Dr. Bob Gill iam. The golfers, however , took advan tage of the fall and w inter for individual prac tice to overcome the inexperi ence th at dominated the team . With Dickie Ber ryhill as their best golfer , the Bi sons plaGed eighth in the 1966 AlC golf meet. The picture looked brighter at the start of the 196 7 season. Jere Woodward and Mike McMackin r eturned from the year before and showed the potential to threaten Ber ryhill 's number one positi on . Other team members wer e Gary Guinn, Roy Fuller and Terry McMichael. The Bisons expected an improved showing in 1967, but th e squad composed of one-half freshmen looked with par t icular ant icipa tion to the two years following.
