BISON BOOSTERS Baby Benny Bison adopted as Harding symbol BENNY, Harding's new Bison mascot, who was acquired this summer, waits for the Bison football team to come back on the field after halftime. A new mascot and a record membership of over three hundred students aided the Bison Boosters in boosting school spirit and backing the Bisons in all their endeavors. The baby bison attended several of the football games and entertained the fans with his antics of stubborness. The Bison Boosters planned periodic pcp rallies throughout the year and also made favors for the team members before contests and sent telegrams of encouragement to the boys in out-of-town games . The club received special permission to attend certain away games that are not designated for all-school attendance. The members wcre active in decorating goal posts and stands for football games and in bedecking the student. center before homecoming ceremonies. Dw-ing football scason they selected an offensive " Player of the Week" to be recogn ized after each game. They also ~ponsored the cheerleading squad and supplied their needs. BISON BOOSTERS.
