HOMECOMING A multiplicity of exciting events delight avid fans Crisp, cool fall weather; fa lling autumn leaves and returning alumni lent atmosphere to the gala Homecoming weekend early in October when the Bi sons met the ASTC Bears in the annual pigskin clash . Weekend activities began Friday with a chili supper at Camp Wyldewood and a spirited pep rally foll owing around the freshman bonfire at the base of Bee Rock. The evening concluded with singing of hymns of devotion while a wooden cross suspended from the cliff above was set aflame. Shortly after noon on October 10, Bison fans piled into decorated cars which ranged in model from a Cadill ac to an old hearse, carrying a banner, "Bear Bearer: Post game car for ASTC," to lonn a caravan throughout the town of Searcy to Alumni Fi eld. Queen candidates Karen Warren, Doris Man-is and Mari an Yingling and other ladies of the '64 court were introduced to the fans in pre-game ceremonies. Tommy Carter, 1963 co-capta in, crowned Doris Morris as queen at halftime prior to a Bison Band performance.
