The team took a roa d trip to T enn essee and l os t three games, which seemed to set the pa ttern for th e r es t of the season . Returni ng to th e campus, Coach Groover's ch a rges took on strong Ouachi ta Baptist College in i ts first Arkansas In te rcollegiate Confer ence game. A close game all th e way. the H erd los t by two points, 68-66. The team pl ayed good ball in spots throu gh ou t th e season, bu t l os t sever al games by s imilar scores. vVith the abili ty to fl oo r the talles t team since r e-entering inte rcollegia te baske tball in 1957, the Bi sons r ebound ed well and di splayed some fine individual performances but could not come up wi th the combina ti on whi ch could jell into a w inning club .
