1960-1961 Yearbook

A great deal of change 'can take place in a person in four years, especially if the years are spent in college. Many experiences sift through one's mind between his arrival as a new freshman and his departure with a diploma. Each situation, calling for a recognition and a subsequent response, adds to his personality and helps develop his character. Some of these situations call for a standard response, such as "Thanks for the ride," or "It's raining let's run for the dorm." Those that bring growth, though, initiate a thinking process in wruch one evaluates and then makes a choice, as when one thinks, "Shall I stop for the hymn sing or go straight to my studies?" Of course, he may go to the student center. These personal choices develop his perspective. 77
