Musical ability is one requiremen t, but sch ol a rship a nd character a re also considered. The annual spring tour included parts of Oklah oma, T exas, and New Mexico this year. There are four smaller ensembles in the chorus : two ladi es' sex tets, one ladi es' quartet, and one male quartet . These groups a r e also chosen by competitive tryouts. The members of the A Ca ppella are also member s of the Chora li er s, a l a rge group composed of anyon e who wishes to belong to it. This year the group was enla rged to include the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. By thi s one r eali zes singi ng is truly a pa rt of Academy life. WESTWARD- BOUND for appearances a t churches, chorus members sfruggle to get their luggage pocked and arranged with enough room leff for them.
