Southern Sta te was tJ1C n ex t team expected to romp over Harding. But the Rider s were equally as troubled as Tech , scoring only twi ce for a 13-0 victory while seeing the Bison 's threaten to scor e twice in the game. Ouachita and the Bisons butted h eads for the second tie of th e year, 0-0. Harding drove to the Tige r II -yard line but cou ldn ' t score. State Teachers fared l ittJ e bet.ter than T ech with a 21 -0 win, and Arkansas A&M passed its way to a 19-6 victo ry. Harding, thou gh , got its first taste of A.I.C. scoring against the Boll Weevils. Homecoming furni sh ed the most excitement of tJ, e yea r.
