1960-1961 Yearbook

As long as we live, we will be among people. One of the most important accomplishments we will make is learning to get along well with them. To do this we must learn to see people in relation to ourselves, to each other, and to the external surroundings - that is, to see them in perspective. An excellent opportunity for growth in this area is found in a social club. Here one functions as a unit in a group, but retains his individuality. In fact, one develops himself against the background of the camaraderie with his club brothers or sisters. As a result, one learns to recognize personal differences while becoming part of a cooperative effort. 143
