Three of these defea ts came a t the hands of Newa rk, who later won the Class B State Tourn a ment by wi nni ng over West Point, McRae, a nd Rose Bud . They were beaten by Kensett . Philip Rh odes a nd Di cki e Dean were selected Jar the All -County team . After whippi ng Bradford in the first round of th e di stri ct, th ey again came up aga inst a nd were defea ted by Newark.
