To demonstrate its appreciation for h er support of club fun ctions th e group presented her a sweetheart swea te r with th e club emblem on it. Throughout th e yea r, th e Queen generously baked ca kes for members at club meetings. Functions on the club calendar included stag outings at Bee Rock and the Sponsor 's home, activity in the intramural sports program, and participation in campus devot iona ls. A pre-Christmas hayride and wiener roast was h eld at Wy ldewood as a third fun c tion . During the spring th e AEX h eld their third annual formal banquet at the Mayfair. "Old England" and its Arthurian and Rob in Hood legends inspired the deco ration s for the March event. As a project the Alpha Eps il on Chi s collected cloth ing to send to an Orphans ' home.
