The Cats Were Small But Fast Plagued by a flu epidemic early in the season and a shortage of height, the Wildcats managed only a 8-14 record. The brightest part of the season was the county tournament in which the Wildcats defeated West Point and Kensett to reach the finals . A larger McRae team edged them out for first place. Timmy Rhodes and Bob Holmquist earned berths on the All -County team.
