1955-1956 Yearbook

Members discuss new club organization. This year a third boys' club, the Vikings, was started in the high school. The informal initiation was held with the K-9 pledges since the club was not fully organized at that time. On March 1 they changed the blue room at the Rendezvous into a soft, dreamy atmosphere of a "Southsea Island." For their entertainment they had the Blue Beats A New Club For J-Iarding Dorsey Tynes ................................................. . President Don Hayes ............................... .............. ... Vice-President Jim Harding ............................. ....... Secretary-TTeaSUTeT Clyde Joliff ........................................................ Reporter Mr. Perry S. Mason ............................................ Sponsor play for them. On April 23 the boys and their dates spent a day of hiking, boating, and eating at Petit Jean State Park . The need for a new club (which the Vikings have filled ) indicates the rapid growth of our Academy. A hearty welcome and a good "send off" to the campus' newest club. Here's hoping they continue to grow throughout the years. Vikings - ROW ONE: Lynn Rhodes. Larry Daugherty, Bud Barrentine, Lewis Robertson , Ragan Dean. ROW TWO: Don Hayes, Joe Baldwin. Jack Baldwin.
