For over 20 years the May Fete has been the Ju Go Ju project. A "Garden of Roses" set the stage for the "Jugs" banquet at the Mayfair Hotel's Terrace Room on February 18. Decorations featured all the aspects of a rose garden, and the entertainment featured pianist Bobby Scott Fuller from Hendrix College. Activities included bunking parties in the dorm and in town, club meetings in Armstrong at sponsor Mrs. Cecil Beck's apartment, and the annual alumni tea during graduation. This year's projects included food to a needy family at Christmas and the May Fete.
