ttG reen Freshmen" With A Long Way To Go Freshman Class Officers - Weldon Hendrix, President; Bobbie Bunch, Secretary-Treasurer; Jim Borden, Vice-President. Jack Wood Sears. Sponsor 104 ~a year to be a freshman! Harding launched into a new building program and once again the campus was to sprout steel beams. Many "gr een " pledges were tossed into the fi sh pond and once again Dr. Jack h ad to rescue the fish. The year was full of adventu re, surpri ses, enri ching experiences, and honor. Who shall ever forge t the elections, or more especially the campaigning that went with it? The class project was the buying of clothes at Christmas for the people a t the county farm . About $85 was spent for different articles of clothing, which were reques ted by the people. Spring was the time for gaiety and good times. First came the cl ass costume party in the Emerald Room with group games providing the big laughs for the evening. Then came th e always-looked-for spring outing, which was held at Camp Wylde: wood. All in all the class was a lways doing big things in a bi g way promising to m atch the growth of the campus in fin e style.
