The Department of Education is designed especially to meet the needs of students who plan to enter the teoching profession. Dr . W. K. Summitt, who is registrar and head of this department, is a busy man, but he finds time for gardening and chick· raising . Mrs. Florence M. Cathcart is dean of women and instructor in primary education. She gets much enjoyment out of poetry and flowers and ha s had years of experience in primary work. Professor L. E. Pryor teaches geography, history and social science. In oddition he preaches and spends his leisure time farm :ng and caring for live stock. A necessary preparation for many professions is the social sciences. The librory is well equipped for the Social Science department. I t contains practically all of the standard works deal ing with American, Engl ish, and European history, numerous publica - tions and current periodicals. Heading this department is Professor B. F.
