Sidney H 'Jopcr and Reedie Bridges we re the other finalists in the contest. McDaniel chose as the subject for his winning speech, "The Ever-Growing Soueh." Mi ss McDoniel discussed HArkan sas, My State." Oratory medals were given to the fir st place w:nners in each division. In the past few years this contest has been sp:msored annually by the Press Cl ub, but will be taken eve r by the Harding Literary Soci ety, which will sponsor all literary contests III rhe future.
