I remember that phone call in August 1979 that set our relationship in motion . You had never met me , but you took Joe Mac ' s recommendation and offered me the position her at the Beaumont Library . Many nights of mopping water in the old building , moving a collection and calls in to tell you I could not come to work because of my dizzy problem . Such sweet times and such memories will always be with me . I th~nk you for your spirit and your love even when I was unlovely or uncooperative . Your patience and guidance will live in my heart for ever and ever . The part of my job that I disliked the most was filing catalog cards . I know that you filed many more that I did over the years , but just to keep you in practice I have enclosed a few of various types : some typed , some LC and some OCLC produced . You may need a few filing flags to check if you filed them correctly! May God bless you in your new "chateau" and keep a place for us to come visit you as we come through Tennessee .
