Winnie Bell Going Away Party

rr=========HARDING===~ June 15, 2007 Winnie Bell 32 Indian Trail Searcy, AR 72143 Ms. Winnie: U N V E R S T y B R. A C K E T T L I B R. A R. Y You are such an inspiration to me. I love your infectious laugh, your spirit of adventure and your willingness to say "that's your problem now; I'm moving on," and then you giggle at me. But, I know when I really need advice you are there and will listen to me with understanding. I have tried to honor you and Suzanne by nurturing the love and fellowship of the staff here and appreciate that the two of you left us with that type of environment. Before there were computers, you saw the potential for the library and you set out to understand something about them. I don't think you get the credit you deserve for promoting computer use on this campus and I doubt you ever imagined that we would be as consumed by them as we are. Thank you for your example with your children. Again, you were a trend setter and a role model for younger women today who see they can raise children without the benefit of a husband. I know many of those days were not easy but you gave the children an opportunity they would not have had otherwise. And , I cannot leave out the devotion you showed to your sister. How blessed she was to have you to care for her. I know you were blessed by her as well and the two of you were quite a team. I'll miss you when you move to Tennessee. It's always a good day when I look up and see you standing in the door grinning at me.
