Winnie Bell Going Away Party
I I June 15, 2007 Dear Winnie, We can't remember when we first met you. You were first known to us as "Mildred's sister." We must have met you sometime before you moved to Searcy when you came to visit Mildred. We are so glad you did move to Searcy because we've had the opportunity to love and admire you as much as we did your sister. It is rare to find two sisters who are as devoted to each other as you and Mildred were. She adored you, and we know the feeling was mutual. We respect you so much for the tireless, loving care you gave to Mildred during her last years. Your optimistic outlook and wonderful sense of humor kept you going during some difficult times. You set a good example for all of us. We also admire you so much for unselfishly opening your home and your life to young girls who needed a home. You continue to be a wonderful mother and grandmother. Lana and her family will be blessed to have you close to them. You have meant so much to Harding through your many years of service in the library. The excellent library we have now is due in large part to the work you did for many years. We also appreciate your work with Downtown Church and World Bible School. Only God knows the good you have done through the many hours you devoted to WBS. I·(Lynn) especially appreciated the work you did indexing the AWH cookbook. When you agreed to take over the job, I knew it would be done right. We're also excited about the indexing you have been doing on the Bisons. Many people will find that useful for years to come. We wish you the very best as you make your piove to Tennessee. We will miss you but will expect to keep in touch with you through Edwina and others. Keep us on your Christmas card list and we will do the same. And do come back to see us as often as you can! Our love and prayers, ~~~ The Englands
