Winnie Bell Going Away Party

meant to send you a Mother's Day card this year, but I let it get by. You are a sister in Christ, but you've been a good mother in Cµrist to me. You took me under your wings when you decided to hire me in 1981. You were so patient with someone who had never really used the bookkeeping courses he had had so many years before that. I shall never forget the first time we ·ed" to reconcile "the books" for the whole year! I'_d try; then bring it to ou, and you'd think of another way to look for my mistakes. You were always so much fun to work for and with. You always enjoy life so much and have never been afraid to laugh at mistakes-especially your . Your laugh was so contagious and such good medicine. Computers ame into our lives at the library, and you tackled program after program ·th your positive attitude, and conquered them all! Only trouble-no program ever lasted long because of the nature of the high tech world. That - ~--...__.~i:-- never daunted your spirit for the next computer hurdle. Not only did you adopt four girls who were from Oklahoma, but gave them so many blessings they must all appreciate. The spiritual blessings were most valuable to at least two of them; and you had your part in bringing their families to Christ. God was always most supreme in your home. He was a guest there every day, and you always made everyone else feel welcome. You devoted your love, time, and energy in caring for your mother and your sister so many years. What an example you set for all those around you in or out of the body of Christ. You knew just how to give them hope and peace. You were the one who got me involved in WBS here in Searcy. I had had a few students who stayed with me a few years in Wisconsin. You were the WBS lady who kept so many people at Downtown going- which later caused College to get involved in a big way, also. I wonder how many African brothers and sisters you will meet for the first time in Heaven! Who could ever forget the Library in the Ad Auditorium, much less all the reconstruction of the old library building AND THE ·MOVE? You were right there in the middle of it all, measuring every shelf and available space. Does anyone know how many boxes were unpacked? Thank you for so many wonderful memories. God bless you,
