Pr or, retired Academic Dea was recognized for 45 years of servi to the university. Dr. Kenneth Davis Jr., who is retir– ing at the end of the semester after 34 years of teaching, not only received a pin but he addressed the group on "WhatHarding Means ToMe." Davis has directed the A Cappella Chorus since 1953, also, and Presi– dent David Burks announced that as a tribute to his service the name "A Cappella Chorus" will be retired· along with Davis. A replacement name for the group has not been announced. Other recipients of 35-year pins were Cecil Beck, Director of Men's Intramural Athletics; and Richard Walker of the Communication department. Thirty-y pins were presented to Virgil Beckett, Registrar; Robert Helsten, Bible Department; and Lyle Poindexter, Auto Shop. Six received 25-year pins includ– ing Ted Altman, Vice President; / Ed ie- Csmpbeti, Couftseltng;~ n Diles, Academy; Latimt Dykes, Sec– retary to Vice President for Finance; D.W. Ridings, Maintenance; and Joe Segrave , ff tory. . · Recipients of 20-year pins were Ruth Burt, Kathryn Campbell, Bobby Coker, Sharen Crockett, Ron Doran, Cliff Ganus III, Rodger Gilliam, Lavelle Harris, Alice Jewell, Fred Jewell, Helen Kearbey, Jean Kelly, James Mackey, Don Meredith, Katy Moore, Oscar Moore, Paul Pitt, Anhur Robens, Carroll Smith, Mae Anne Tucker, Betty Watson, Rosem– ary Wilson, Ann Wright, Dorothy Wright and Ray Wright.
